Danny's
character is Gomez, a boxer who spars with Mel Gibson's character, Martin
Riggs, in the boxing ring. Unfortunately, it is difficult to recognize
Danny because of the headgear he is wearing.
For
a little behind the scenes info, five extra minutes of Danny's scene with
Riggs was deleted from the film because of time constraints. Danny, the "hot shot rookie cop",
makes fun of the veteran Riggs, who is hitting a punching bag. It provokes Riggs to challenge Danny to a boxing match. Danny Glover's character,
Roger Murtaugh, tries to talk Riggs out of it, but to no avail.
Hopefully
a new DVD will come out with this extra scene added.
