My
character is Gomez, a boxer who spars with Mel Gibson's character, Martin
Riggs, in the boxing ring. Unfortunately, it is difficult to recognize
me because of the headgear I am wearing.
For
a little behind the scenes info, five extra minutes of my scene with
Riggs was deleted from the film. I, the "hot shot rookie cop",
make fun of the veteran Riggs, who is hitting a punching bag, which
provokes him to challenge me to a boxing match. Danny Glover's character,
Roger Murtaugh, tries to talk Riggs out of it, but to no avail.
Hopefully
a new DVD will come out with this extra scene added.
